Big change!

As of February 19, I will no longer be Assistant Director of the Preservation Trust of Spartanburg because I have accepted a new position as Director of AccessHealth Spartanburg. The position is a grant funded initiative of the Duke Endowment and housed at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, which means fabulous benefits. I will be responsible for hiring and overseeing four employees: an IT person, a nurse, a social worker for case management, and a scheduler. Together, we will build a strategic plan to lead efforts to find medical homes for low income, uninsured patients, coordinating efforts of health-related non-profits in Spartanburg County, providing solutions for issues like payment, transportation to appointments, easing the application process for patients and having them in a "system" where care can be coordinated and information shared to best assist patients with their health needs. AccessHealth South Carolina is our state-wide resource: http://accesshealthsc.net/

More details to come!
