Dillard House Weekend-Part 1 of 2

This weekend we are at the Dillard House with the dogs. It is a quaint mountain getaway in the North Georgia mountains. Click on the blog title to go to their website. It is a great escape for the hustle and bustle of the real world with a petting zoo, horse back riding, and easy access to state parks. The Dillard House is also famous for their "family style" meals at their restaurant. As you can see from the picture, Becca loves their bacon!

After a hearty breakfast (but not so good for the heart) we went on a short hike at Tallulah Falls State Park. We treked the 0.25 miles on the North Rim Trail to North Wallenda Tower to view Tallulah Gorge which is 750 feet deep.

From there, we hiked the Terrora and Shoreline Trails. The Terroa Trail was a easy to moderate trail, but took its toll on us amatuers. Me and Sadie had to take a break.

The Shoreline Trail runs along the Tallulah Falls Lake and was a former railroad track. We were finally able to find the dogs some water to cool off in.
More from our adventure later tomorrow!
