Playpen...reimagined

So, JR had a doctor's appointment yesterday (good health except for his cold, which meant postpoing 6 month shots). He weighed in just over 20 pounds and 26.5 inches long, still at the 75th percentile for growth. He is hitting all of the milestones and has a tooth bud working its way in, too. Best part of the visit (well, next to seeing Dr. Webb and nurse Lynn), was the crucnhy paper on the examining table! JR had a blast grabbing, ripping, and chewing on that noisy stuff! After the appointment, I brought him back to work for about an hour, where he entertained himself in his ghetto playpen. That's right, folks, I improvised with a box, and he could not have been happier to investigate his cardboard haven. See for yourself:

Too cute(it's always been said:'throw away the toy and give them the box.)Remsen loved to play in cardboard boxes when he was little... Emme.

How awesome!! You are such a creative mommy!! Doesn't it make you wonder why you spend money on other toys when the simplest things are the most pleasing to children?

Perhaps JR is the next Frank Lloyd Wright. He's got the two name thing down.
